Brian earned his Master's from the UVA Statistics Department in 1998 and is currently a Senior Vice President at the Lewin Group, a consulting group that works in health care and human services analytics. Some of your fellow Statistics graduate students will share experiences from internships they have had: how they found the internship, how they were hired, the projects they worked on, and more. 

Friday, November 3rd - Shelby Kiefner

Halsey 120 + Zoom
Shelby earned her Master's degree from the UVA Statistics Department in 2018 and currently works as a cybersecurity software developer at AT&T. Shelby will speak on her decision to pursue a career adjacent to statistics, and how her degree helps her communicate and support members of the data science team she works with day-to-day. 

***Zoom + Halsey 120 means the speaker will be giving the talk over Zoom, but we will put the Zoom call up in Halsey 120 if you would like to join other students in person.

***Halsey 120 + Zoom means the speaker(s) will be in Halsey 120, but a Zoom will be set up for those who cannot attend in person.
